There are many great restaurants in the Livermore area. This is not intended to suggest there are not many great alternatives. There are. My short list:

Wente Vineyards Restaurant continues to please.  Set at the edge of large vineyards on the beautiful Wente estate, the setting can not be beat.  The food and drink are as excellent as the setting.

Sauced in downtown Livermore is a community hotspot, always packed and lines waiting to get in. Wear expandable clothing for this smoke house with BBQ ribs and meats.

BEST “THINGS TO DO” IN LIVERMORE

Well, let’s start with wine tasting. Tesla Road leading out to Greenville is wine tasting central in Livermore Wine Country, followed by Wetmore Road between Arroyo and Vineyard. Suggested stops include Wente, McGrail, Bent Creek, andlivermoregallery Rubino.

Head to Campo di Bocce for a large well appointed Bocce Ball facility, indoors and out, with restaurant and bar.

REST OF THE BEST

Downtown LivermoreDowntown Livermore and downtown Pleasanton are jewels of restored historical downtowns.  Downtown Pleasanton is smaller and quieter than the larger and more vibrant downtown Livermore.  Suggested stops in downtown Livermore include the Vine Theater, Double Barrel Wine Bar, and the Last Word.
